حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَرْمِيُّ قَدِمَ مِنْ الْكُوفَةِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُمَيْلَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ عَنْ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْعَالِيَةِ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ أَنَّهُ أُصِيبَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَسِتُّونَ وَأُصِيبَ مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينِ سِتَّةٌ وَحَمْزَةُ فَمَثَّلُوا بِقَتْلَاهُمْ فَقَالَتْ الْأَنْصَارُ لَئِنْ أَصَبْنَا مِنْهُمْ يَوْمًا مِنْ الدَّهْرِ لَنُرْبِيَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ نَادَى رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْقَوْمِ لَا يُعْرَفُ لَا قُرَيْشَ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَلَى نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ { وَإِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ فَعَاقِبُوا بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُمْ بِهِ } الْآيَةَ فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُفُّوا عَنْ الْقَوْمِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdullah told us, Sa'id ibn Muhammad al-Jarmi, who had come from Kufah, told us, Abu Numaylah told us, Isa ibn Ubayd al-Kindi told us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas — Abu al-Aliyah told me — from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, that on the Day of Uhud, sixty-four of the Ansar were struck down, and six of the Muhajirun, along with Hamzah, and their dead were mutilated. So the Ansar said, "If we ever strike them on any day of time, we will surely exceed them." Then on the Day of the Conquest of Mecca, a man from the people called out, unknown, "No Quraysh after today!" So Allah Most High revealed to His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "And if you punish, then punish with the equivalent of that with which you were harmed," the verse. So the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Restrain yourselves from the people."
