حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَنَا وَأُبَيٌّ وَأَبُو طَلْحَةَ جُلُوسًا فَأَكَلْنَا لَحْمًا وَخُبْزًا ثُمَّ دَعَوْتُ بِوَضُوءٍ فَقَالَا لِمَ تَتَوَضَّأُ فَقُلْتُ لِهَذَا الطَّعَامِ الَّذِي أَكَلْنَا فَقَالَا أَتَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ الطَّيِّبَاتِ لَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْكَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Attab ibn Ziyad told us, Abdullah - that is, Ibn al-Mubarak - informed us, Musa ibn Uqba informed us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Uqba, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: I was sitting with Ubayy and Abu Talha, and we ate meat and bread. Then I called for water to perform ablution, and they said: "Why are you performing ablution?" I said: "For this food that we ate." They said: "Would you perform ablution because of wholesome food, when one better than you did not perform ablution because of it?"
