حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ وَيُونُسُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ اللَّيْثِيِّ قَالَ قَدِمْنَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ شَبَبَةٌ قَالَ فَأَقَمْنَا عِنْدَهُ نَحْوًا مِنْ عِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً فَقَالَ لَنَا لَوْ رَجَعْتُمْ إِلَى بِلَادِكُمْ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَحِيمًا فَعَلَّمْتُمُوهُمْ قَالَ سُرَيْجٌ وَأَمَرْتُمُوهُمْ أَنْ يُصَلُّوا صَلَاةَ كَذَا حِينَ كَذَا قَالَ يُونُسُ وَمُرُوهُمْ فَلْيُصَلُّوا صَلَاةَ كَذَا فِي حِينِ كَذَا وَصَلَاةَ كَذَا فِي حِينِ كَذَا فَإِذَا حَضَرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَلْيُؤَذِّنْ لَكُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَكْبَرُكُمْ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Surayj and Yunus told us, they said: Hammad - meaning Ibn Zayd - told us, Ayyub told us, from Abu Qilabah, from Malik ibn al-Huwayrith al-Laythi, who said: We came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while we were young men. He said: We stayed with him about twenty nights. He said to us: "If you were to return to your homelands" - and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was compassionate - "and teach them" - Surayj said: "and command them to pray such-and-such prayer at such-and-such time" - Yunus said: "and command them to pray such-and-such prayer at such-and-such time, and such-and-such prayer at such-and-such time, and when the time for prayer comes, let one of you call the adhan for you, and let the eldest of you lead you in prayer."
