Rawh told us, Awf told us, from Alqamah ibn Abdullah al-Muzani, who said: A man told me, who said: I was in a gathering in Medina in which Umar ibn al-Khattab was present, and Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said to a man among those sitting with him: "How did you hear the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say it?" He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Islam began small, like a young weaned camel, then became a two-year-old, then a four-year-old, then a six-year-old, then a fully mature camel." He said: Umar then said: "There is nothing after full maturity except decline."
