وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرَةَ ذُكِرَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ خَيْرًا فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيْحَكَ قَطَعْتَ عُنُقَ أَخِيكَ وَاللَّهِ لَوْ سَمِعَهَا مَا أَفْلَحَ أَبَدًا ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَثْنَى أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى أَحَدٍ فَلْيَقُلْ وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ فُلَانًا وَلَا أُزَكِّي عَلَى اللَّهِ أَحَدًا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
And Abu Bakrah said: A man was mentioned before the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and another man praised him with good words, so the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Woe to you, you have broken your brother's neck! By Allah, had he heard it, he would never have succeeded." Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When one of you praises someone, let him say: 'By Allah, so-and-so is such,' and let him not vouch for anyone before Allah."
