حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الرُّكَيْنَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُسَمِّيَ رَقِيقَكَ أَرْبَعَةَ أَسْمَاءٍ أَفْلَحَ وَيَسَارًا وَنَافِعًا وَرَبَاحًا.

Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman told us: I heard al-Rukayn relating from his father, from Samurah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade naming your slaves with four names: Aflah, Yasar, Nafi', and Rabah.
