Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatada, from al-Hasan, from Samura ibn Jundab, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had two silent pauses in his prayer. Imran ibn Husayn said, "As for me, I do not remember them from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." So they wrote about that to Ubayy ibn Ka'b, asking him about it, and Ubayy wrote back that Samura had indeed retained it correctly.
