حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ يَعْنِي الشَّافِعِيَّ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ أَنْشُدُ اللَّهَ رَجُلًا سَمِعَ مِنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْجَدِّ شَيْئًا فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ شَهِدْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْطَاهُ الثُّلُثَ قَالَ مَعَ مَنْ قَالَ لَا أَدْرِي قَالَ لَا دَرَيْتَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Idris - i.e. ash-Shafi'i - told us, Sufyan informed us, from Ali ibn Zayd ibn Jud'an, from al-Hasan, from Imran ibn Husayn, that Umar ibn al-Khattab said: "I adjure by Allah any man who heard from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, anything concerning the grandfather's inheritance." A man stood up and said: "I witnessed the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, give him a third." He said: "Along with whom?" He said: "I do not know." He said: "Then you knew nothing."
