حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ أَنَّ حُصَيْنًا أَوْ حَصِينًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ لَعَبْدُ الْمُطَّلِبِ كَانَ خَيْرًا لِقَوْمِهِ مِنْكَ كَانَ يُطْعِمُهُمْ الْكَبِدَ وَالسَّنَامَ وَأَنْتَ تَنْحَرُهُمْ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَا تَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أَقُولَ قَالَ قُلْ اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي شَرَّ نَفْسِي وَاعْزِمْ لِي عَلَى أَرْشَدِ أَمْرِي قَالَ فَانْطَلَقَ فَأَسْلَمَ الرَّجُلُ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَتَيْتُكَ فَقُلْتَ لِي قُلْ اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي شَرَّ نَفْسِي وَاعْزِمْ لِي عَلَى أَرْشَدِ أَمْرِي فَمَا أَقُولُ الْآنَ قَالَ قُلْ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ وَمَا أَخْطَأْتُ وَمَا عَمَدْتُ وَمَا عَلِمْتُ وَمَا جَهِلْتُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hasan told us, Shayban told us, from Mansur, from Rib'i ibn Hirash, from Imran ibn Husayn or someone else, that Husayn, or Hasin, came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "O Muhammad, Abd al-Muttalib was better for his people than you - he used to feed them liver and hump, while you slaughter them." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him what Allah willed him to say, and the man said: "What do you order me to say?" He said: "Say: O Allah, protect me from the evil of my soul, and grant me resolve toward the most right course in my affairs." He said: The man went off and accepted Islam, then came back and said: "I came to you and you told me to say: 'O Allah, protect me from the evil of my soul and grant me resolve toward the most right course in my affairs' - what shall I say now?" He said: "Say: O Allah, forgive me what I have kept secret and what I have made public, what I have done in error and what I have done deliberately, what I have known and what I have not known."
