حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَن عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَن أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِخَمْسِ كَلِمَاتٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى لَا يَنَامُ وَلَا يَنْبَغِي لَهُ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَلَكِنَّهُ يَخْفِضُ الْقِسْطَ وَيَرْفَعُهُ يُرْفَعُ إِلَيْهِ عَمَلُ اللَّيْلِ قَبْلَ عَمَلِ النَّهَارِ وَعَمَلُ النَّهَارِ قَبْلَ عَمَلِ اللَّيْلِ حِجَابُهُ النُّورُ لَوْ كَشَفَهُ لَأَحْرَقَتْ سُبُحَاتُ وَجْهِهِ مَا انْتَهَى إِلَيْهِ بَصَرُهُ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Mu'awiya told us: al-A'mash told us, from Amr b. Murra, from Abu Ubayda, from Abu Musa, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stood among us with five statements, and said: "Allah Almighty does not sleep, and it is not fitting for Him to sleep; but He lowers the scale and raises it. The deed of the night is raised up to Him before the deed of the day, and the deed of the day before the deed of the night. His veil is light - were He to remove it, the splendor of His Face would burn up whatever of His creation His sight reached."
