حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ أَنَّ أَبَا مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيَّ كَانَ لَهُ أَخٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ أَبُو رُهْمٍ وَكَانَ يَتَسَرَّعُ فِي الْفِتْنَةِ وَكَانَ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ يَكْرَهُ الْفِتْنَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُ لَوْلَا مَا أَبْلَغْتَ إِلَيَّ مَا حَدَّثْتُكَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمَيْنِ الْتَقَيَا بِسَيْفَيْهِمَا فَقَتَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا الْآخَرَ إِلَّا دَخَلَا جَمِيعًا النَّارَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Affan told us: Hammam told us, from Qatada: al-Hasan told us that Abu Musa al-Ash'ari had a brother called Abu Ruhm who used to rush recklessly into strife, and al-Ash'ari disliked strife, so he said to him, "Were it not that you had pressed me, I would not have told you this. I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'There are no two Muslims who meet with their swords and one of them kills the other except that both of them enter the Fire.'"
