حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهِ حُلَّتَانِ مِنْ حُلَلِ الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ يَا ضَمْرَةُ أَتَرَى ثَوْبَيْكَ هَذَيْنِ مُدْخِلَيْكَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَالَ لَئِنْ اسْتَغْفَرْتَ لِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَا أَقْعُدُ حَتَّى أَنْزَعَهُمَا عَنِّي فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِضَمْرَةَ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ فَانْطَلَقَ سَرِيعًا حَتَّى نَزَعَهُمَا عَنْهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Surayj ibn al-Nu'man told us, Baqiyya ibn al-Walid told us, from Sulayman ibn Sulaym, from Yahya ibn Jabir, from Damra ibn Tha'laba, that he came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, wearing two garments of Yemeni cloth, and he (the Prophet) said, "O Damra, do you think these two garments of yours will admit you into Paradise?" So he said, "If you would seek forgiveness for me, O Messenger of Allah, I will not sit down until I take them off." So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "O Allah, forgive Damra ibn Tha'laba." So he went off quickly until he took them off himself.
