حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَن عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّفَرِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ أَبِي مُوسَى يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَمَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ هَذَا أَوْ نَحْوَ هَذَا الْمَعْنَى وَإِذَا نَامَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ أَحْيَا وَبِاسْمِكَ أَمُوتُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hajjaj told us, Shu'bah informed us, from 'Abdullah ibn Abi al-Safar, who said: I heard Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa narrating from al-Bara', that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whenever he woke up, would say, "Praise be to Allah who has given us life after having caused us to die, and unto Him is the resurrection." Shu'bah said: this or something of similar meaning. And when he went to sleep he would say, "O Allah, in Your name I live and in Your name I die."
