حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَعْنَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَجَاءٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ الْهَرَوِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَن الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ بَصُرَ بِجَمَاعَةٍ فَقَالَ عَلَامَ اجْتَمَعَ عَلَيْهِ هَؤُلَاءِ قِيلَ عَلَى قَبْرٍ يَحْفِرُونَهُ قَالَ فَفَزِعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَبَدَرَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ أَصْحَابِهِ مُسْرِعًا حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى الْقَبْرِ فَجَثَا عَلَيْهِ قَالَ فَاسْتَقْبَلْتُهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ لِأَنْظُرَ مَا يَصْنَعُ فَبَكَى حَتَّى بَلَّ الثَّرَى مِنْ دُمُوعِهِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا قَالَ أَيْ إِخْوَانِي لِمِثْلِ الْيَوْمِ فَأَعِدُّوا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu 'Abd al-Rahman al-Muqri' and Husayn ibn Muhammad told us - the meaning being the same - they said: Abu Raja' 'Abdullah ibn Waqid al-Harawi told us, he said: Muhammad ibn Malik told us, from al-Bara' ibn 'Azib, who said: While we were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, he caught sight of a group of people and said, "What have these people gathered for?" It was said, "Over a grave they are digging." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was alarmed and hurried ahead of his companions until he reached the grave and knelt beside it. He said: I faced him from in front of him to see what he would do, and he wept until his tears moistened the earth. Then he turned to us and said, "O my brothers, prepare for a day such as this."
