حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبٍ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ { إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ } قَالُوا كَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ قَالَ قُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ قَالَ وَنَحْنُ نَقُولُ وَعَلَيْنَا مَعَهُمْ قَالَ يَزِيدُ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَشَيْءٌ زَادَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى مِنْ قِبَلِ نَفْسِهِ أَوْ شَيْءٌ رَوَاهُ كَعْبٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Fudayl told us, Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad told us from Abdul Rahman ibn Abi Layla from Ka'b who said: When "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet" was revealed, they said, "How do we send blessings upon you, O Prophet of Allah?" He said, "Say: O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim; indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. And bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim; indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious." He said, And we say, "And upon us along with them." Yazid said: I do not know whether this was something Ibn Abi Layla added of his own accord, or something Ka'b himself related.
