حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ ثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ يَقُولُ لَقَدْ أَصْبَحْتُمْ وَأَمْسَيْتُمْ تَرْغَبُونَ فِيمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَزْهَدُ فِيهِ أَصْبَحْتُمْ تَرْغَبُونَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَزْهَدُ فِيهَا وَاللَّهِ مَا أَتَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةٌ مِنْ دَهْرِهِ إِلَّا كَانَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا لَهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ رَأَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَسْلِفُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya ibn Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Layth ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Ali ibn Rabah, who said: I heard Amr ibn al-'As say: 'You have come to spend your mornings and evenings desiring what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to renounce. You now desire this world, while the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to renounce it. By Allah, no night of his life ever passed except that what was owed against him was more than what was owed to him.' He said: Then some of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: 'We indeed saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, borrow.'
