Attab ibn Ziyad narrated to us, he said: Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Sa'id ibn Yazid informed us, he said: Ayyash ibn Abbas narrated to us, from Shuyaym ibn Baytan, from Junada ibn Abi Umayya, who said: I was with Busr ibn Artat when a man was brought to him who had stolen a bukhtiyyah (a large camel). He said: 'Were it not that I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbid us from carrying out amputation during military campaigns, I would have cut off your hand.' So he was flogged, then set free.
