حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي أَيُوبَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الرُّعَيْنِيُّ وَأَبُو مَرْحُومٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقُرَشِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَقْرَأَ بِالْمُعَوِّذَاتِ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ.

Abu Abd al-Rahman told us, Sa'id — meaning Ibn Abi Ayyub — told us, Yazid ibn Abd al-Aziz al-Ru'ayni and Abu Marhum told me, from Yazid ibn Muhammad al-Qurashi, from Ali ibn Rabah, from Uqbah ibn Amir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded me to recite the two protective surahs (al-Mu'awwidhatan) at the end of every prayer.
