Al-Dahhak ibn Makhlad narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Wahid ibn Nafi' al-Kala'i, of the people of Basra, who said: I passed by a mosque in Madinah when the prayer was called, and there was an old man who rebuked the mu'adhdhin, saying, "Do you not know that my father told me that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to order that this prayer be delayed?" He said: I asked, "Who is this old man?" They said, "This is Abdullah ibn Rafi' ibn Khadij."
