حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ بَعْضُ مَنْ شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِخَيْبَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ مِمَّنْ مَعَهُ إِنَّ هَذَا لَمِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَلَمَّا حَضَرَ الْقِتَالُ قَاتَلَ الرَّجُلُ أَشَدَّ الْقِتَالِ حَتَّى كَثُرَتْ بِهِ الْجِرَاحُ فَأَتَاهُ رِجَالٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي ذَكَرْتَ أَنَّهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَقَدْ وَاللَّهِ قَاتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَشَدَّ الْقِتَالِ وَكَثُرَتْ بِهِ الْجِرَاحُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ وَكَادَ بَعْضُ النَّاسِ أَنْ يَرْتَابَ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ وَجَدَ الرَّجُلُ أَلَمَ الْجِرَاحِ فَأَهْوَى بِيَدِهِ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى كِنَانَتِهِ فَانْتَزَعَ مِنْهَا سَهْمًا فَانْتَحَرَ بِهِ فَاشْتَدَّ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ قَدْ صَدَّقَ اللَّهُ حَدِيثَكَ قَدْ انْتَحَرَ فُلَانٌ فَقَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ya'qub narrated to us: my father narrated to us, from Salih b. Kaysan - Ibn Shihab said: Abd al-Rahman b. Abdullah b. Ka'b b. Malik informed me that one who witnessed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Khaybar informed him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said about a man who was with him: "This one is indeed among the people of the Fire." When the fighting came, the man fought most fiercely, until his wounds multiplied. Then men from among the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, have you seen the man whom you mentioned to be among the people of the Fire? By Allah, he has fought most fiercely in the way of Allah, and his wounds have multiplied." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, he is among the people of the Fire." Some people were about to doubt, but while they were in that state, the man felt the pain of his wounds, so he reached with his hand to his quiver, drew out an arrow, and killed himself with it. A man from among the Muslims hurried to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Prophet of Allah, Allah has confirmed your words true - so-and-so has slaughtered himself and killed himself."
