حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ أَبِي و حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ وَقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بُسْرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا بُسْرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِدْرِيسَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَرْثَدٍ الْغَنَوِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا تَجْلِسُوا عَلَى الْقُبُورِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا عَلَيْهَا.

Attab b. Ziyad narrated to us: Abdullah, meaning Ibn al-Mubarak, narrated to us - his father said - and Ali b. Ishaq narrated to us: Abdullah narrated to us: Abd al-Rahman b. Yazid b. Jabir narrated to us, and he said Busr b. Ubaydullah narrated to us - Ali said: Busr b. Ubaydullah narrated to us - who said: I heard Abu Idris say: I heard Wathila b. al-Asqa' say: I heard Abu Marthad al-Ghanawi say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Do not sit upon graves, and do not pray towards them."
