Yahya ibn Zakariyya ibn Abi Za'idah told us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq told me, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Abu Marzuq, freedman of Tujib — and Tujib is a clan of Kindah — from Ruwayfi' ibn Thabit al-Ansari, who said: I was with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he conquered Hunayn, and he stood among us delivering a sermon and said: "It is not lawful for a man who believes in Allah and the Last Day to water his seed in another's crop (i.e., have intercourse with a pregnant captive), nor to purchase from the spoils of war before they are divided, nor to wear a garment from the booty of the Muslims until, when he has worn it out, he returns it to the pool, nor to ride an animal from the booty of the Muslims until, when he has worn it down, he returns it to the pool."
