حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنٌ وَيُونُسُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ رُمِيَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ سَعْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ فَقَطَعُوا أَكْحَلَهُ فَحَسَمَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالنَّارِ فَانْتَفَخَتْ يَدُهُ فَحَسَمَهُ فَانْتَفَخَتْ يَدُهُ فَحَسَمَهُ أُخْرَى فَانْتَفَخَتْ يَدُهُ فَنَزَفَهُ فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ لَا تُخْرِجْ نَفْسِي حَتَّى تُقِرَّ عَيْنِي مِنْ بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ فَاسْتَمْسَكَ عِرْقُهُ فَمَا قَطَرَ قَطْرَةً حَتَّى نَزَلُوا عَلَى حُكْمِ سَعْدٍ فَأُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِ فَحَكَمَ أَنْ تُقْتَلَ رِجَالُهُمْ وَيُسْتَحْيَا نِسَاؤُهُمْ وَذَرَارِيُّهُمْ لِيَسْتَعِينَ بِهِمْ الْمُسْلِمُونَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَصَبْتَ حُكْمَ اللَّهِ فِيهِمْ وَكَانُوا أَرْبَعَ مِائَةٍ فَلَمَّا فُرِغَ مِنْ قَتْلِهِمْ انْفَتَقَ عِرْقُهُ فَمَاتَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hujayn and Yunus told us, they said: al-Layth ibn Sa'd told us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: On the Day of the Confederates, Sa'd ibn Mu'adh was struck by an arrow and they severed his median vein, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cauterized it with fire. His hand swelled, so he cauterized it again; his hand swelled again, so he cauterized it a second time; his hand swelled again and it bled. When Sa'd saw that, he said: "O Allah, do not take my soul until You have cooled my eye regarding Banu Qurayzah." So his vein held and did not drip a single drop until they surrendered to Sa'd's judgment. He was sent for, and he judged that their men should be killed and their women and children taken captive, so that the Muslims might benefit from them. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "You have given the judgment of Allah concerning them." They numbered four hundred. When the killing of them was finished, his vein burst open and he died.
