حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ نَدَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ فَانْتَدَبَ الزُّبَيْرُ ثُمَّ نَدَبَ النَّاسَ فَانْتَدَبَ الزُّبَيْرُ ثُمَّ نَدَبَ النَّاسَ فَانْتَدَبَ الزُّبَيْرُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيًّا وَحَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Sufyan told us, from Ibn al-Munkadir, who heard Jabir say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, called upon the people on the Day of the Trench, and al-Zubayr responded; then he called upon the people again, and al-Zubayr responded; then he called upon the people again, and al-Zubayr responded. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every prophet has a disciple, and my disciple is al-Zubayr." Sufyan said: I heard Ibn al-Munkadir say this in this mosque.
