حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَسُرَيْجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَعْمَرٍ وَهُوَ أَبُو طُوَالَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ النَّاسِ رَجُلٌ أَخَذَ بِعِنَانِ فَرَسِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ النَّاسِ مَنْزِلَةً بَعْدَهُ رَجُلٌ مُعْتَزِلٌ فِي غَنَمٍ أَوْ غُنَيْمَةٍ يُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ وَيَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The miser and the charitable person are like two men wearing iron coats of mail. The charitable person — whenever he gives charity, it expands and stretches until it covers his fingertips and trails on the ground. The miser — whenever he wants to give charity, every ring contracts upon its place and he tries to widen it but it will not expand.'
