حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَحْكِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ أَذْنَبَ عَبْدِي ذَنْبًا فَقَالَ يَا رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي فَقَالَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَذْنَبَ عَبْدِي ذَنْبًا فَعَلِمَ أَنَّ لَهُ رَبًّا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ وَيَأْخُذُ بِالذَّنْبِ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ اعْمَلْ مَا شِئْتَ قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَكَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ قَالَ كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَاصٌّ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ قَالَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ عَبْدًا أَصَابَ ذَنْبًا فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ.

Bahz told us: Hammad told us: Ishaq ibn 'Abdullah ibn Abi Talhah told us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi 'Amrah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, narrating from his Lord: "My servant committed a sin and said, 'O Lord, forgive me my sin.' He, Blessed and Exalted, said: 'My servant has committed a sin and known that he has a Lord who forgives sin and holds one to account for sin'" — three times — "then He says: 'Do as you wish, I have forgiven you.'" 'Affan told us: Hammam told us: Ishaq ibn 'Abdullah ibn Abi Talhah told us, who said: There was in Medina a preacher called 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi 'Amrah — he said: I heard him say: I heard Abu Hurayrah say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "A servant committed a sin," and he mentioned its meaning.
