حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ مَكَثْنَا ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ نَنْتَظِرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِصَلاَةِ الْعِشَاءِ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا حِينَ ذَهَبَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ بَعْدَهُ فَلاَ نَدْرِي أَشَىْءٌ شَغَلَهُ أَمْ غَيْرُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ حِينَ خَرَجَ " أَتَنْتَظِرُونَ هَذِهِ الصَّلاَةَ لَوْلاَ أَنْ تَثْقُلَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَصَلَّيْتُ بِهِمْ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ " . ثُمَّ أَمَرَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ .
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates: 'One night we kept waiting for the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) for the Isha prayer. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came out to us when a third of the night — or more — had passed. We did not know whether something had kept him (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) occupied or there was some other reason. When he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came out, he stated: "Are you waiting for this prayer? Were it not a burden on my Ummah, I would always lead them in this prayer at this hour." Then he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) ordered the mu'adhdhin, who called the iqamah, and the prayer was offered.'
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں: ایک رات ہم عشاء کے لیے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا انتظار کرتے رہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اس وقت تشریف لائے جب تہائی رات یا اس سے زیادہ گزر چکی تھی۔ ہمیں معلوم نہیں کہ کسی چیز نے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو مشغول کر رکھا تھا یا کوئی اور بات تھی۔ جب آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم باہر تشریف لائے تو ارشاد فرمایا: کیا تم اس نماز کا انتظار کر رہے ہو؟ اگر میری امت پر بھاری نہ ہوتا تو میں انہیں ہمیشہ اسی وقت نماز پڑھاتا۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے مؤذن کو حکم فرمایا، اس نے اقامت کہی اور نماز ادا ہوئی۔
