حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَيَانٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الأَعْمَشُ، - الْمَعْنَى - عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ أَفَاضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ عَرَفَةَ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّكِينَةُ وَرَدِيفُهُ أُسَامَةُ وَقَالَ " أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالسَّكِينَةِ فَإِنَّ الْبِرَّ لَيْسَ بِإِيجَافِ الْخَيْلِ وَالإِبِلِ " . قَالَ فَمَا رَأَيْتُهَا رَافِعَةً يَدَيْهَا عَادِيَةً حَتَّى أَتَى جَمْعًا . زَادَ وَهْبٌ ثُمَّ أَرْدَفَ الْفَضْلَ بْنَ الْعَبَّاسِ . وَقَالَ " أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ الْبِرَّ لَيْسَ بِإِيجَافِ الْخَيْلِ وَالإِبِلِ فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالسَّكِينَةِ " . قَالَ فَمَا رَأَيْتُهَا رَافِعَةً يَدَيْهَا حَتَّى أَتَى مِنًى .
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) returned from Arafat with an air of tranquillity and dignity upon him. Hadrat Usamah (may Allah be well pleased with him) was riding behind him. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) graciously said: O people! Hold fast to tranquillity and calm, for piety does not consist in driving horses and camels swiftly. Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) says: After that I did not see (the mounts) racing with their hands raised until the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) arrived at Jam' (Muzdalifah). The narrator Wahb adds: Then the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) took Hadrat al-Fadl ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) behind him and graciously said: O people! Piety does not consist in driving horses and camels swiftly; you must hold fast to tranquillity and calm. Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) says: After that I did not see any mount racing with raised hands until the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) arrived at Mina.
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم عرفات سے لوٹے، آپ پر وقار و سکینت طاری تھی، آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پیچھے حضرت اسامہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سوار تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: لوگو! اطمینان و سکینت لازم پکڑو، اس لیے کہ گھوڑوں اور اونٹوں کو دوڑانا کوئی نیکی نہیں ہے۔ حضرت ابنِ عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں: پھر میں نے (سواریوں کو) ہاتھ اٹھائے دوڑتے نہیں دیکھا یہاں تک کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جمع (مزدلفہ) تشریف لائے۔ وہب کی روایت میں اتنا اضافہ ہے: پھر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حضرت فضل بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما کو اپنے پیچھے سوار فرمایا اور ارشاد فرمایا: لوگو! گھوڑوں اور اونٹوں کو دوڑانا نیکی نہیں ہے، تم اطمینان و سکینت لازم پکڑو۔ حضرت ابنِ عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں: پھر میں نے کسی سواری کو ہاتھ اٹھائے (دوڑتے) نہیں دیکھا یہاں تک کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم منیٰ تشریف لائے۔
