English Translation
'Abdullah: We were with the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a cave when "By those sent forth in gusts" (al-Mursalat) was revealed to him. We were receiving it from his mouth while it was still fresh, when a snake emerged upon us. We rushed to kill it but it escaped. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "It was spared your harm and you were spared its harm."
