Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9169 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ «سَارِعُوا إِلَى الْجُمَعِ فَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يَبْرُزُ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ فِي كَثِيبٍ مِنْ كَافُورٍ فَيَكُونُوا مِنَ الْقُرْبِ عَلَى قَدْرِ تَسَارُعِهِمْ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ فَيُحْدِثُ اللهُ ﷻ لَهُمْ مِنَ الْكَرَامَةِ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَكُونُوا رَأَوْهُ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُونَ إِلَى أَهْلِيهِمْ فَيُحَدِّثُونَهُمْ بِمَا أَحْدَثَ اللهُ لَهُمْ» قَالَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَبْدُ اللهِ الْمَسْجِدَ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِرَجُلَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَدْ سَبَقَاهُ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ «رَجُلَانِ وَأَنَا الثَّالِثُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يُبَارِكَ فِي الثَّالِثِ»
English Translation
Abdullah said: "Hasten to the Friday prayers, for Allah the Almighty will appear to the people of Paradise every Friday on a hill of camphor. They will be near Him according to how much they hastened to the Friday prayer. Allah the Almighty will show them something of honor they had not seen before. Then they will return to their families and tell them of what Allah has shown them." Then Abdullah entered the mosque on a Friday and found two men who had preceded him, so he said: "Two men, and I am the third. If Allah wills to bless the third."
