Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9040 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا الْفِرْيَابِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ «إِنْ كَانَ الْجُعْلُ لَيُعَذَّبُ فِي جُحْرِهِ بِذُنُوبِ بَنِي آدَمِ» ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللهُ النَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوا مَا تَرَكَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ}
English Translation
Abdullah said: "Indeed, the dung beetle is punished in its hole because of the sins of the children of Adam." Then he recited: 'And if Allah were to punish the people for what they have earned, He would not leave upon its surface any creature.'
