Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8103 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا عَبْدَةُ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي أُمَامَةَ حَدِّثْنَا حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «كَانَ حَدِيثُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْقُرْآنَ وَيُكْثِرُ الذِّكْرَ وَيُقَصِّرُ الْخُطْبَةَ وَيُطِيلُ الصَّلَاةَ وَلَا يَأْنَفْ وَلَا يَسْتَكْبِرْ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ مَعَ الْمِسْكِينِ وَالضَّعِيفِ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ مِنْ حَاجَتِهِ»
English Translation
Abu Ghalib said: I said to Abu Umamah: "Tell us a hadith you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)." He said: "The speech of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was the Quran. He would increase in remembrance [of Allah], shorten the sermon, and lengthen the prayer. He would not disdain or consider himself above going with the poor and the weak until their need was fulfilled."
