English Translation
Jabir said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) arrived in Makkah during the Farewell Pilgrimage, he said to his companions: 'With what did you enter ihram?' Some said: 'With Hajj.' Some said: 'With 'umrah.' Some said: 'With whatever you entered ihram with, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'All of you exit ihram except those who brought sacrificial animals, for if I had foreseen what I came to know later, I would not have brought the sacrificial animal, so that I could be with you in a state of permissibility.' He had brought a hundred sacrificial camels." Muhammad ibn Salamah did not mention the story of Suraqah.
