Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:618 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ تَوْبَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ غَدَاةُ الْفِطْرِ وَقَفَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ فِي أَفْوَاهِ الطُّرُقِ فَنَادَوْا يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ اغْدُوا إِلَى رَبٍّ رَحِيمٍ يَمُنُّ بِالْخَيْرِ وَيُثِيبُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَزِيلَ أُمِرْتُمْ بِصِيَامِ النَّهَارِ فَصُمْتُمْ وَأَطَعْتُمْ رَبَّكُمْ فَاقْبِضُوا جَوَائِزَكُمْ فَإِذَا صَلَّوُا الْعِيدَ نَادَى مُنَادٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ ارْجِعُوا إِلَى مَنَازِلِكُمْ رَاشِدِينَ قَدْ غَفَرْتُ ذُنُوبَكُمْ كُلَّهَا وَيُسَمَّى ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ فِي السَّمَاءِ يَوْمَ الْجَائِزَةِ
English Translation
Aws narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When the morning of 'Eid al-Fitr comes, the angels stand at the openings of the roads and call out: 'O Muslims, come forth to a merciful Lord who bestows good and rewards abundantly for it. You were commanded to fast during the day and you fasted, and you obeyed your Lord, so collect your rewards.' When they pray the 'Eid prayer, a caller from the heavens calls: 'Return to your homes guided; all your sins have been forgiven.' That day is called in the heavens the Day of Reward."
