Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:617 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الرَّاسِبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْكَرْمَانِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ شِمْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْفِطْرِ وَقَفَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الطُّرُقِ فَنَادَوْا اغْدُوا يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلَى رَبٍّ كَرِيمٍ يَمُنُّ بِالْخَيْرِ ثُمَّ يُثِيبُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَزِيلَ لَقَدْ أُمِرْتُمْ بِقِيَامِ اللَّيْلِ فَقُمْتُمْ وَأُمِرْتُمْ بِصِيَامِ النَّهَارِ فَصُمْتُمْ وَأَطَعْتُمْ رَبَّكُمْ فَاقْبِضُوا جَوَائِزَكُمْ فَإِذَا صَلَّوْا نَادَى مُنَادٍ أَلَا إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ قَدْ غَفَرَ لَكُمْ فَارْجِعُوا رَاشِدِينَ إِلَى رِحَالِكُمْ فَهُوَ يَوْمُ الْجَائِزَةِ وَيُسَمَّى ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ فِي السَّمَاءِ يَوْمَ الْجَائِزَةِ
English Translation
Aws ibn Aws narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When the day of 'Eid al-Fitr comes, the angels stand at the openings of the roads and call out: 'Come forth, O Muslims, to a generous Lord who bestows good and then rewards abundantly for it. You were commanded to pray at night and you prayed, you were commanded to fast during the day and you fasted, and you obeyed your Lord, so collect your rewards.' When they pray, a caller calls out: 'Your Lord has forgiven you, so return guided to your homes.' It is the Day of Reward, and that day is called in the heavens the Day of Reward."
