English Translation
Salamah ibn al-Akwa' narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent him as a scout, and he said: "I went out alone, and when I reached the grazing camels of the enemy at al-Ghabah, I kept shooting arrows at them and saying in verse: 'I am the son of al-Akwa'! Today is the day of the low ones!' I kept repeating this until I recovered all the camels and took thirty cloaks from them. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the people came, and I said: 'O Prophet of Allah, I have prevented the people from water and they are thirsty, so send them to the water.' He said: 'O Ibn al-Akwa', you have gained control, so be lenient.' Then he said: 'These people are now being hosted by their own people.'"
