Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:5023 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ وَقِيلَ لَهُ §مَنَ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ؟ قَالَ «مَنْ تَحْرُمُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّدَقَةُ؟» قِيلَ مَنْ هُمْ؟ قَالَ «آلُ عَلِيٍّ وَآلُ عَقِيلٍ وَآلُ جَعْفَرٍ وَآلُ الْعَبَّاسِ»
English Translation
Zayd ibn Arqam was asked: "Who are the family of Muhammad?" He said: "Those upon whom charity is forbidden." It was asked: "Who are they?" He said: "The family of 'Ali, the family of 'Aqil, the family of Ja'far, and the family of al-'Abbas."
