English Translation
Wa'il ibn Hujr said that a woman went out during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to go to the prayer. A man met her and overpowered her, so he raped her. She screamed and he fled. A man passed by and she said: "That man did such-and-such to me." People passed by and she told them. They went and caught the man she pointed to. They brought him to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he said: "Indeed he raped me." Then the one who had actually raped her came. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "She was not punished." As for the one who raped her, he said: "Stone him."
