Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1931 حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَنْ يَبْرَحَ هَذَا الدِّينُ قَائِمًا يُقَاتِلُ عَلَيْهِ عِصَابَةٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ»
English Translation
Jabir ibn Samurah said: "The companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to recite poetry and talk about matters of the pre-Islamic era while they were with the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he would remain silent and sometimes smile."
