English Translation
Umm Hufayd bint al-Harith ibn Jazi, the maternal aunt of Ibn Abbas, gifted to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) butter, dried yogurt, and lizards. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) called for them and they were eaten at his table, but the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) left them as if he found them distasteful. Had they been forbidden, they would not have been eaten at the table of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), nor would he have ordered them to be eaten.
