Arabic (Original)
ناإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْيَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ،وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، قَالا:" أَوَّلُ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ الْخَنْدَقَ عَلَى عَسْكَرِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ".
English Translation
Al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The conditions set by 'Umar for the dhimmis included not displaying crosses, not ringing bells loudly, and not raising their voices in prayer when near Muslims."

سیدنا رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمپہلے شخص ہیں جنہوں نے لشکر کے گرد خندق بنانے کا طریقہ جاری فرمایا۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب الجهاد/حدیث: 4033]
