Arabic (Original)
نا نا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِينَصْرَانِيٍّ تَحْتَهُ نَصْرَانِيَّةٌ، فَأَسْلَمَتْ، قَالَ:" يُفَرَّقُ بَيْنَهُمَا، لا يَمْلِكُ نِسَاءَنَا غَيْرُنَا، نَحْنُ عَلَى النَّاسِ، وَالنَّاسُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْنَا ؛ وَذَلِكَ لأَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ: لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ سورة التوبة آية 33".
English Translation
Ibn 'Abbas said regarding a Christian woman who embraces Islam while married to a Christian man: "They are to be separated. Our women may not be under the authority of non-Muslims. We are above the people, and the people are not above us — because Allah the Almighty says: 'That He may make it prevail over all religions' (9:33)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ اگر ایک نصرانی مرد کی بیوی نصرانی عورت مسلمان ہو جائے تو ان کے درمیان جدائی ہو گی کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا ہے:«لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ»۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب الطلاق/حدیث: 3152]
