Arabic (Original)
نا نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّابْنَ عَبَّاسٍسُئِلَ عَنِالأُخْتَيْنِ مِمَّا مَلَكَتِ الْيَمِينُ، فَقَالَ:" لا أُحِلُّهُمَا وَلا أُحَرِّمُهُمَا، أَحَلَّتْهُمَا آيَةٌ وَحَرَّمَتْهُمَا أُخْرَى". فَبَلَغَ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ، فَقَالَ:" لا تَجْمَعْهُمَا".
English Translation
Ibn 'Abbas was asked about having two sisters from among those whom the right hand possesses (slave women). He said: "I neither declare them lawful nor unlawful — one verse made them lawful and another made them unlawful." When this reached Ibn Mas'ud, he said: "Do not combine them (two sisters as concubines)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے باندیوں میں دو بہنوں کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو فرمایا:”میں نہ ان کو حلال کہتا ہوں نہ حرام، ایک آیت نے حلال کیا دوسری نے حرام کیا۔“ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کو کی خبر پہنچی تو فرمایا:”انہیں اکٹھا نہ کرو۔“[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب الطلاق/حدیث: 2916]
