Arabic (Original)
وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: “بينما أيوب عليه السلام يغتسل عريانا، فخر عليه جراد من ذهب، فجعل أيوب يحثي فى ثوبه فناداه ربه عز وجل يا أيوب ألم أكن أغنيتك عما ترى؟! قال:بلى وعزتك، ولكن لا غنى بى عن بركتك، ((رواه البخاري)).
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported:the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "While Ayyub (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was taking a bath, naked, a large number of gold locusts fell on him. He tried to collect them in a piece of cloth, when he heard his Rubb (Allah) calling him: 'O Ayyub (upon him be peace) ! Have I not sufficed you to care for what you see (the worldly possessions)?' Ayyub (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'Indeed by Your Power, but I can never do away with Your Blessings."'.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: حضرت ایوب علیہ السلام ننگے غسل فرما رہے تھے کہ ان پر سونے کی ٹڈیاں گریں۔ حضرت ایوب علیہ السلام نے انہیں اپنے کپڑے میں بھرنا شروع کیا تو ان کے رب عزوجل نے پکارا: اے ایوب! کیا میں نے تجھے اس سے بے نیاز نہیں کیا جو تو دیکھ رہا ہے؟ عرض کیا: بے شک تیری عزت کی قسم! لیکن تیری برکت سے مجھے بے نیازی نہیں۔ (بخاری)
