Arabic (Original)
وعن أبي مالك الحارث بن عاصم الأشعري رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : "الطهور شطر الإيمان، والحمد لله تملأ الميزان، وسبحان الله والحمد لله تملآن -أو تملأ- ما بين السماوات والأرض، والصلاة نور، والصدقة برهان، والصبر ضياء، والقرآن حجة لك أو عليك. كل الناس يغدو، فبائع نفسه فمعتقها، أو موبقها" ((رواه مسلم)).
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Malik Al-Harith bin Asim Al-Ash'ari (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that:The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Purity is half of faith, and the praise of Allah fills the scale. Glorification and praise fill up what is between the heavens and the earth. Prayer is a light, charity is proof, and patience is illumination. The Quran is a proof for you or against you. All people go out early in the morning and sell themselves, either setting themselves free or ruining themselves."..
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو مالک حارث بن عاصم اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: پاکیزگی آدھا ایمان ہے، الحمد للہ میزان کو بھر دیتا ہے، سبحان اللہ اور الحمد للہ آسمانوں اور زمین کے درمیان (کی جگہ) بھر دیتے ہیں۔ نماز نور ہے، صدقہ دلیل ہے، صبر روشنی ہے اور قرآن تمہارے حق میں حجت ہے یا تمہارے خلاف حجت ہے۔ ہر شخص صبح نکلتا ہے اور اپنے نفس کو بیچتا ہے، یا تو اسے آزاد کرتا ہے یا ہلاک کرتا ہے۔ (مسلم)
