أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ، - هُوَ ابْنُ فَضَالَةَ - عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ أَكَلْنَا يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ لُحُومَ الْخَيْلِ وَالْوَحْشِ وَنَهَانَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْحِمَارِ .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "On the Day of Khaibar we ate the flesh of horses, and onagers, but the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) forbade us (from eating) donkeys."(sahih)
Urdu Translation
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ خیبر کے دن ہم نے گھوڑوں اور وحشی جانوروں کا گوشت کھایا اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ہمیں گدھے (کے گوشت) سے منع فرمایا۔
