English Translation
Narrated the Mother of the Believers 'A'isha the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) married me when I was six years of age, and when I was taken to his house (in consummation) I was nine years of age. And she says: Then we came to Medina, and there I had a fever for a month, and my hair fell to my ears (that is, it had fallen off during this illness). Then Umm Ruman (this is the mother of 'A'isha the Truthful, may Allah be pleased with her) came to me while I was on a swing and my friends were with me, and she called me, so I came to her, and I did not know why she had called me. Then she took my hand and made me stand at the door, and I was panting (as one whose breath is out of breath) until my panting subsided. And she took me into a house, and there were some women of the Ansar there, and they began to say, "May Allah the Exalted grant good fortune and blessing, and may you have a share of good." (So) my mother handed me over to them, and they washed my head and adorned me, and nothing frightened me, but that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came in the forenoon, and she handed me over to him.
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہمجھ سے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے نکاح کیا اور میں چھ برس کی تھی اور جب میری رخصتی ہوئی تو میں نو برس کی تھی۔ اور کہتی ہیں کہ پھر ہم مدینہ میں آئے تو وہاں مجھے ایک ماہ تک بخار رہا اور میرے بال کانوں تک ہو گئے (یعنی اس مرض میں جھڑ گئے تھے) تب ام رومان (یہ ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کی والدہ ہیں) میرے پاس آئیں اور میں جھولے پر تھی اور میرے ساتھ میری سہیلیاں بھی تھیں اور انہوں نے مجھے پکارا تو میں ان کے پاس آئی اور میں نہ جانتی تھی کہ انہوں نے مجھے کیوں بلایا ہے۔ پس انہوں نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑا اور مجھے دروازہ پر کھڑا کر دیا اور میں ہاہ ہاہ کر رہی تھی (جیسے کسی کی سانس پھول جاتی ہے) یہاں تک کہ میری سانس پھولنا بند ہو گئی اور مجھے وہ ایک گھر میں لے گئیں اور وہاں انصار کی چند عورتیں تھیں اور وہ کہنے لگیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ خیر و برکت دے اور تمہیں خیر میں سے حصہ ملے۔ (غرض) میری ماں نے مجھے ان کے سپرد کر دیا۔ اور انہوں نے میرا سر دھویا اور سنگار کیا اور مجھے کچھ خوف نہیں پہنچا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمچاشت کے وقت آئے اور مجھے ان کے سپرد کر دیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 805]
