English Translation
Narrated 'Amir bin Sa'd: Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) went to his house, which was in al-'Aqiq, when (on the way) he saw a slave cutting a tree or plucking leaves, so he confiscated his belongings. When Sa'd came back, the slave's household came and said, "Return that to him, or give it to us." So he said, "Refuge is sought with Allah from my returning a thing that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) gave me as a gift." And he refused to return his belongings.
Urdu Translation
عامر بن سعد سے روایت ہے کہسیدنا سعد رضی اللہ عنہ اپنے مکان کو چلے جو عقیق میں تھا کہ (راستے میں) ایک غلام کو دیکھا جو ایک درخت کاٹ رہا تھا یا پتے توڑ رہا تھا تو اس کا سامان چھین لیا۔ جب سیدنا سعد واپس آئے تو اس کے گھر والے آئے اور انہوں نے کہا کہ آپ وہ اس کو پھیر دیجئیے یا ہمیں عنایت کیجئے تو انہوں نے کہا: اس بات سے اللہ کی پناہ کہ میں وہ چیز پھیر دوں جو مجھے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے بطریق انعام عنایت کی ہے۔ اور انہوں نے اس کا سامان واپس کرنے سے انکار کر دیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 775]
