English Translation
Narrated the Conqueror of Persia, Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "I declare the area between the two black stony tracts (of Medina) a sanctuary, that its thorny trees are not to be cut, nor is game to be hunted there." And he said, "Medina is better for them, if only they knew" (this is addressed to those people who leave Medina and go elsewhere, or to all Muslims). "And no one leaves Medina's residence out of dislike but that Allah the Exalted sends into it someone better than him; and no one endures its hunger, thirst, and hardship and toil but that I will be his intercessor or witness on the Day of Resurrection."
Urdu Translation
فاتح ایران سیدنا سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: میں دونوں کالے پتھروں کے درمیان کی جگہ کو حرم مقرر کرتا ہوں کہ وہاں کا کانٹے دار درخت نہ کاٹا جائے اور نہ وہاں شکار مارا جائے۔ اور فرمایا کہ مدینہ ان کے لئے بہتر ہے کاش وہ اس کو سمجھتے (یہ خطاب ہے ان لوگوں کو جو مدینہ چھوڑ کر اور جگہ چلے جاتے ہیں یا تمام مسلمانوں کو) اور کوئی مدینہ کی سکونت اعراض کر کے نہیں چھوڑتا مگر اللہ تعالیٰ اس سے بہتر کوئی آدمی اس میں بھیج دیتا ہے اور نہیں کوئی صبر کرتا اس کی بھوک پیاس اور محنت و مشقت پر مگر میں قیامت کے دن اس کا شفیع یا گواہ ہوں گا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 774]
