English Translation
Narrated Aisha the Truthful, Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her): One day the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to me and said, "Do you have anything (to eat)?" We said, "There is nothing." So he (peace be upon him) said, "Then I am fasting." Then he (peace be upon him) came to us on another day, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! We have been given hays as a gift." So he (peace be upon him) said, "Show it to me, for I was fasting since morning," and then he (peace be upon him) ate.
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہایک دن نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممیرے پاس آئے اور فرمایا کہ تمہارے پاس کچھ (کھانے کے لئے) ہے؟ ہم نے کہا کہ کچھ نہیں ہے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا تب میں روزے سے ہوں۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمہمارے پاس کسی اور دن آئے تو میں نے عرض کیا کہ اے اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! ہمارے پاس ہدیہ میں حیس آیا ہے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ مجھے دکھاؤ اور میں صبح سے روزے سے تھا پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے کھایا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 630]
